Research Interest

Develop analytical methodologies based on capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE)-mass spectrometry (MS) for comprehensive and quantitative characterization of proteins and their post-translational modifications (PTMs) in cells. Understand the roles of proteins and their PTMs in modulating the vertebrate early embryogenesis using CZE-MS based quantitative proteomics.

Teaching

CEM835, CEM434, and CEM434 (analytical chemistry courses)

Professional Memberships

American Society for Mass Spectrometry, American Chemical Society, Chinese American Society for Mass Spectrometry (CASMS)

Research Contribution

CZE-MS for bottom-up and top-down proteomics; quantitative proteomics in developmental biology; single cell proteomics; immobilized enzymes for proteomics
